After working in Ecuador, he came to the United States and worked as an instructor for several different programs before joining Job Corps.

Stevie Routh

is a Patient Care Technician instructor at Blue Ridge Job Corps. Before joining the Blue Ridge JC team in October 2021, Stevie spent 10 years as a pediatric nurse and worked two years in long-term care. When she isn’t teaching classes, Stevie enjoys going to the beach and enjoying the outdoors with her fiancé and three children.

Annie Baer - Clinical Medical Assistant - Oneonta Job Corps Center

Annie Baer

has been a certified medical assistant since 1999 and has used this experience as the Clinical Medical Assistant instructor at Oneonta Job Corps Center to restructure the training program to reflect the field’s demands. In addition to classroom instruction experience, her field specialty background includes primary care, OB/GYN, neurology, pulmonology, internal medicine, cardiology and the laboratory setting.

Lori Sis - Academics and Life Skills - Denison Job Corps Center

Lori Sis

is a Reading instructor at Denison Job Corps Center, bringing more than 40 years of teaching experience to the classroom. Lori has experience instructing special education and reading classes in the Denison Community School District and two school districts in Nebraska. She graduated with teaching endorsements in secondary English and special education and a minor in Spanish from the University of Nebraska in 1981.

Lino Cometto - Bricklaying - Iroquois Job Corps Center

Lino Cometto

has been a member of the International Masonry Institute for nearly 20 years. He has a variety of experiences within the union and currently serves as an IMI Bricklaying instructor at Iroquois Job Corps Center. Lino helps students earn a variety of certifications and enjoys teaching them about ethics and workplace relationships. One of Lino’s favorite parts of his job is helping students progress from pre-apprenticeship training to apprenticeships in the union. 

Robert Kelichner - Bricklaying - Iroquois Job Corps Center

Robert Kelichner

Robert Kelichner, an International Masonry Institute Bricklaying instructor, has over 15 years of experience in the bricklayers union. He enjoys using his experience in the field to help students navigate their training and career paths. Robert leads many of his pre-apprenticeship students to find successful job placements in the industry.  

Leroy Phillip - Carpentry - Iroquois Job Corps Center

Leroy Phillip

had a career as a field inspector while living in his home country, the island nation of Grenada. After moving to the United States, Leroy joined the United Brotherhood of Carpenters union, where he has over 13 years of experience. Now the UBC Carpentry instructor at Iroquois Job Corps Center, he enjoys passing along his knowledge and experience to his students and guiding them in their career decisions. 

Robert Trautwein - Carpentry - Iroquois Job Corps Center

Robert Trautwein

has over 30 years of experience as a union carpenter with United Brotherhood of Carpenters, working on a wide variety of residential and commercial projects. He has served as the UBC Carpentry instructor at Iroquois Job Corps Center for over 15 years. Robert helps students gain OSHA 30, scaffolding and green building certifications. He understand the skills needed to become more employable and sustain a long-term career in the industry. Robert prioritizes assisting students in finding apprenticeships with UBC and enjoys walking beside students throughout their training.
