Prior to this, she worked as an adjunct professor at American River College in Sacramento, Calif., an instructional aide and a library supervisor at Portland Adventist Academy. Nickling holds a bachelor’s degree in fashion design and a master’s degree in communications, and she enjoys using all this experience and knowledge as a Job Corps instructor.

William made this career change so he could share his love of technology with students and provide them with skills to have a career they love. His goal is to help students become college- and career-ready.

Timothy Ruffin

Before joining the Brooklyn Job Corps Center team as an Evening Studies instructor, Timothy Ruffin worked with youth at various nonprofit and community-based organizations as an instructor and college advisor. He holds a bachelor’s degree in African American studies from Rutgers University and earned two master’s degrees, in social sciences and education. Timothy specializes in creating positive and supportive learning environments for students to help them overcome barriers and reach their goals.
